Hey Loves, My name is Nikki and I am a proud Part Owner and a Hairstylist of Salon 28:6. Ever since I was 5 years old I have dreamed of becoming a Stylist/Makeup Artist. That dream never changed as I got older. I grew up in a large family and money was tight. Getting my hair done wasn't a common thing, so when I did get to go, I always felt so special and never wanted to leave. I always felt like Royalty sitting in that chair. I knew that one day I wanted to make others feel the same. I wanted to make people feel beautiful both inside and out. Another reason I wanted to Become a stylist is so I could share the love of Jesus with the hundreds of people I see in my chair monthly. My prayer is I show the Love of Jesus through my work as a Stylist, Salon Owner and Educator. 15 years in this industry and it keeps getting sweeter. I've accomplished a lot in those years to help separate myself from other stylist in this area. To start I have been certified in advance Blonding techniques, Balayage (4 times) even on a national level, been a regional Color educator with Alfaparf Color, Certified in Brazilian Blowouts, Certified in Handtied Extensions twice, Master class in Malibu C training, and now I currently Teach as a Sunlights Balayage National Educator when I'm not behind the Chair. One of my most exciting things to tell you is that I recently book my THIRD certification in French Haircutting and heading to Atlanta this fall for a 3 day MASTERCLASS acadamy and am operating that behind the chair now fully. What makes me shine the most behind the chair though is defiantly my Love for this industry and the Love I have for my clients and their Hair.
When I'm taking time off, I'm home or at the Lake spending time cuddled up with my handsome husband Kyle and two kids Maddelyn (14) and Bradley (9). I love connecting with clients and helping them meet their goals with their skin, lashes, etc. I specialize in facials that are customized to the client by looking at their skin and discussing what they want addressed, my products are botanically based and geared towards treating the skin gently and effectively. I also specialize in lash extensions, all of my sets are based on what my clients desire and also what suits their eye shape and lash health! Outside of work I spend time with my family, do hot yoga, play with my dog, and love to read. I love to connect with my clients and get to know them personally. When clients sit in my chair I make sure they know that I care about them as well as the integrity of their hair. Whether it’s to make someone laugh, listen when they have no one else to talk to, or pray with & for them during their appointment. To me this isn’t just my career but also my ministry. I love being able to be creative with hair! I was always coming up with fun, unique styles when I was younger & now I get to create aesthetically pleasing configurations of hair as my career! What makes me unique as a stylist is that I love doing color corrections & advanced blonding services! Color corrections take time & patience & this is where I shine most! I make sure to do all my research before a color correction. That includes the client coming in for a free consultation so I can examine the integrity of the hair, what is currently on the hair, the desired end result, & the plan of action to achieve the end result as well as what cost will be. Advanced blonding also requires time & patience. I love being able to create multi dimensional blondes using balayage and foil techniques! Any inspiration that you have I will be glad to create something that is unique just for you! I am double certified in advanced balayage techniques, hand tied extensions, and Brazilian Blowouts. Education in this industry is a passion of mine! Im always attending classes and hair shows so I can keep learning and growing and bringing my best to my clients in my chair! After graduating High School, I attended Paul Mitchell in North Little Rock where I graduated as a color specialist and make-up artist. Since graduating I have been certified 3 times in advanced blonding and balayage, 2 times in hand tied extensions, airbrush makeup, and 3 times in French hair cutting. I specialize in coloring, extensions, airbrush makeup, men’s cutting, and weddings. I am always looking to learn new things with more education and classes or from my fellow co-workers.
